Double clicking Composition opens oroiginal footage – Why? Annoying.
Hi guys,
Im replacing a premiere CC 2017 clip with an after comp.
The comp, when double clicked opens the orgininal footage. I dont want this. I want the clip to open so that I can edit it using after effects tools.
Opening the original footage is no good to me as it just messes with the clips in and out timing etc.Any ideas where Im going wrong? I’ve tried taking Premiere fx off the clip before linking to AE. I’ve tried reopening AE.
New problem, not had this in the past. Also bear in mind that Im no wizard with AE.

Note that ‘after’ meant ‘after effects’

If you have any of the paint tools active in the tool menu, then double clicking a composition in the composition panel will open the layer window.
If this does not solve your problem, please share some screenshots so we can have an idea what is going on.
