After an exhaustive search (I know, I should have come here first!), I cannot nail down 12mm DOUBLE Blu-ray case inserts. I have the cases, I have the outer case dimensions, but I REALLY wanted to buy photomatte inserts made just for these cases (as I have with standard DVD cases–Neato is my go-to source). Yes, Neato DOES stock inserts for single Blu-ray cases, but the dimensions of the double case are slightly different and may not line up without trial-and-error. So does anyone have a source for this exact item, please?

I have been producing high school sports compilation DVD’s for several years now, and to give them a more “professional” look, create my own DVD case artwork (I only use a single slim DVD case) using Photoshop Elements. I would then print the artwork onto photo stock on my home printer, trim and install the DVD case insert. While working on another project, I found I can take the Photoshop artwork file down to my local FedEx/Kinko’s and have them print the artwork onto a good quality “brochure” paper in color. I still trim these myself, but Kinko’s will do for a nominal charge. For the very limited production (10-25 copies) projects, this has turned out to be a large time saver as well as printer cartridge saver. The color printouts at Kinko’s are $0.69 each.

I have found a solution! I purchased Photomatte Blu-ray Case Inserts from Neato, and they WILL work in the double Blu-ray cases that I previously purchased. To create the artwork, I prepare it first in Discus software using the standard Neato A4 DVD case wrap template. When satisfied, I export it to an Adobe PSD file. I then open up a second program, Neato MediaFace, and insert the PSD file I created into the Blu-ray DVD case insert template, resize it to fit into the template and print with my Epson Artisan 710 color inkjet printer. WORKS LIKE A CHARM!
