Double Alpha Swipe
Could someone tell me how to set up a double alpha swipe (digital juice) in Motion? I can do it in FCP, but can’t seem to get things quite right in Motion. I do see the alpha channel on the swipe, so all I need is how to arrange the layers with their blend modes. Thanks!

Place the Digital Juice File on top of your clip. Changes the Digital Juice Blend mode to a “Stencil Alpha” or “Stencil Luma” depending on what the Digital Juice Clip is. Or you can try your hand at doing a “Add Image Mask”. To learn more about that check out this Star Wars Hologram Effect tutorial.

Thanks for the tips. It got me pointed in the right direction (especially the tutorial). I ended up using an image mask on the incoming clip, putting the matte from the swipe in it and setting it to luminance, add, and invert. Then I put the swipe file on top of that, set to normal and we were good to go.
