    OK so i just downloaded after effects and i used the Tinderbox 3 plug-in by the foundry (thefoundry.co.uk) to add lightning into my video, i selected the lightning effect and it worked, but the problem is…

    for every effect i use, a bunch of multicolored dots appear ALL over the screen, meaning the video as it plays. If it helps when i press the toggle transparency grid button they all highlight themselves but i dont know how to remove them. How do i take these things out? thanks.

    it sounds like you are running a demo version of the plug-in… you need to pay for it and enter a serial number to remove the dots
