Don’t Use After Effects 2020 with Catalina/Metal
Video in Preview pane is garbled. No mention i could find on Adobe site but tech support says it’s a known issue (love how a known issue translated is – the product you’re paying for doesn’t work) and they’re trying to fix
in the meantime, they say stick with 2019…

What problems are you experiencing? With the new 2020 update I cannot preview my timeline at all. I keep getting a “display acceleration disabled” error

Guys, for once and forever – just do not update to the latests versions at the time they arrives. Why to bother?
Every single year, more stable versions comes out after XX.1 update, when bugs are get rid of. Users base is used as testers.
Not trying to be pathetic here – but really, the benefits involved in updates are rarely worth wasting time with errors involved, only with few exceptions here and there.
