Dont do what I did
I decided I’d tack on a movie created by Picasa to the project I had been working on a project 8 hours a day more or less. Just a little thing of still pictures not available in my movie collection. BIG mistake. It destroyed every build I had done since starting the project. Apparently Vegas links all your builds from day one and they are all affected. Fortunately I had regularly been making DVD’s as I went along and have a version I can use. What I did was create a movie with just a just a few pictures but no sound in Picasa. Saved it. Then imported into my project at the end.
Maybe someone has a different take on this and if so I’d like to hear it. -

As long as you were saving your project in incremental versions as you went along (i.e. project-01, project-02 project-03, etc.), this should not have happened.
This way, if something does happen, you have older versions to fall back on.
I’m editing 5 separate interviews right now and interview #1 is at version 28. -
Most of the time I was just saving. That so if I really screwed up I could just close and not save the changes. When making a dvd it might be save as. You are probably right as it might not have been as far reaching as i originally thought. In any case it really made a mess. I have to look at a Picasa video and see just what it is.
