Dolly Track Removal from Shot?
Looking for suggestions on how to remove dolly tracks from a shot.
My plan is to export a Filmstrip from After Effects, open it in Photoshop, rubber stamp out the tracks in each frame, then re-import into After Effects.
I’ve used this method before for wire removal and it works OK. Not great. It depends heavily on the complexity of the shot.
Any other suggestions?

Hey don’t look at me – that’s all jerzy droza.
But if you can use the cloning tools in photoshop, you can almost certainly get better or more consistent results directly in AE.

yeah things worked out! you should check this post again at the end of the week. i’ll post a link to Beyond Pix Studios, the production company I work at, where the video called “concept to completion” which we’re using to launch our new website, will be featured.
i used after effects and, two weeks ago, started using about 10 of your tutorials, and 2 of jerzy’s, to pull it off. the results have been amazing.
