    Hi,

I purchased a new laptop with Windows 7 and after I installed the 64 bit version of Vegas Pro 9.0 I noticed that I do not have an option to render the audio as Dolby Digital AC-3 Pro anymore. Did miss something in the Vegas install or does Vegas 9.0 64-bit not support Dolby Digital AC-3 Pro?

    Thanks,

    Pete

You should have the AC3 option only after installing DVD Architect.

That is what I thought too. I even did a reinstall of DVD Architect and still don’t have the option.

I’m having some serious problems rendering Dolby AC3 for my DVD projects. I’ve been using Vegas Pro 9 for the last year to do this with no problems. Then after I updated to the latest version (9.0e build 1147) the plugin will not work. All I get is a file with no sound (empty) and sometimes Vegas won’t even let me import the bad file into the timeline. I do have the latest DVDA installed, too. I’m currently working with Sony to sort this out but it’s going slow.

I’ve defragged, cleaned my registry and even reinstalled with no success. Has anyone else had this problem? Please help, I’m now a week behind schedule.

    Thanks,
    Mike

Did you end up figuring out the problem? I have the same issue too. Can’t render as Dolby Digital Pro, only Dolby Digital Studio which then has to be recompressed by Architect, wasting valuable time.
