  • Doing moves on stills in a 24pa Final Cut Sequence

Posted by Jake Diamond on February 8, 2006 at 2:26 am

I’m working on a movie shot with the DVX100A in 24pa mode. I’m new to working with motion, but I figured out how to do the moves I want. I export the clips (stills that I imported) to motion using, ’embed motion content’ so it updates the move in the final cut timeline. However, it looks like the move stutters slightly in the final cut timeline. Is this because I’m working on a 23.98 sequence? Or is there a setting in motion I’m not aware of?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Jake

Is your Motion sequence also set at 23.98, no fields?

Thanks for getting back to me Noah. My motion sequence was set to 23.98, but ‘no fields’ was not selected. I did change that and it helped a little bit. But it still seems like the move should be smoother than it is. They are simple pans up and down photos, zooms in and out. Are there any other parameters I need to change?

    Thanks again,

    Jake
