    Hi, all,

I’m new to the platform, though I have more years on Avid/FCP than I care to admit. Still learning the quirks, but here’s one that has me stumped. I have three tracks of video stacked up, and want to remove a chunk out of the middle. In Avid, for instance, I would select the tracks I wanted to affect, then mark an in and and an out, and perform the lift or extract. PPro seems to only let me select one video track (or set of video/audio if they’re linked) at a time. I can see the logic of this if I were to delete an entire clip and close the gap, but suppose I want to trim off the end of three tracks (to take out a word or cut a shot short that has a title stacked on top.) I can’t quite believe that I’d have to do an extract then multiple trims…what am I missing?

    1. De-select all tracks (make sure none are targeted).
    2. Set sequence in/out points to cover the area you want to extract.
    3. Choose Sequence>Extract (or the apostrophe key) and PPro will extract that section from all video/audio tracks.
