Does Vegas 10D increase render speeds?
Hey all,
So does Vegas 10d take advantage of the OpenCL and increase render speeds for those with compatible ATI graphics cards?
Just wondering what the verdict is?
If it does, does it take advantage of the GPU for more than just the Sony AVC encoder?

That’s what the release notes claim. I have an NVIDIA CUDA card so I can’t say for sure but I have no reason to believe that it doesn’t work.

No, it only accelerates Sony AVC rendering.
Having said that, OFX plug-ins like Boris RED 5, Boris Continuum Complete 7, and the GenArts plug-ins will take advantage of OpenGL to accelerate the preview of their FX so you do get a preview boost from a good graphics card if you use any of these plug-ins.
I just moved from an NVIDIA 9800GT to an NVIDIA Quadro 4000 and I noticed a definite improvement in BCC7 working with 3D Extruded Text objects during preview.
