In my experience it works faster. A few beach balls every now and again, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Couple of issues if you used Western Digital hard drives, a minor but workable bug regarding 2-screen output, and the scariest so far: I’ve heard it can brick your AJA IOHD if you use one of those for your interface. Frankly, I’m amazed it works at all… but you know the clock WILL eventually run out and some update will finally “break” FCP7. Everyone should have their exit strategy by now, though when they apply it is of course a personal choice.

    Hi Mark,

What exactly is the issue with the WD disks and the 2 screen output?
I was about to upgrade on my Hackintosh. I do have several Western Digital Studio Edition ll disks.
