So I’m using AE7 and trying to make a line dash across a line of text as if I’m crossing it out, and my whole comp is in 3D space. I make my solid line, and then draw a path over it with the pen tool, select stroke, increase brush size, and choose “reveal original image”, but nothing happens. I cant get it to work, does the Stroke effect even work in 3D space?

The stroke effect is applied to a layer and can only be rendered on the plane of a layer. That layer, however, can be a 3D layer and rotated in space.

Yes, did you play around with the End or Start because that is how the layer grows out. Also did you set you mask up? If its in 3d do you have the camera set where it can see it?it can be tilted or what not? but it sounds like you get everything right just change the END and START.
