DOES RADEON X800 XT HAVE ADC CONNECTOR TOO?
Posted by Jim Blokland on June 25, 2005 at 1:36 amHello all:
Seems that on the ATI site, it says it does. Just want to make sure before I purchase.
Thanks in advance.

June 25, 2005 at 8:33 amIf you desire to run a dual monitor setup, an ADC to DVI adaptor if fairly inexpensive and simple. ADC contains all of the signals that are present on a DVI connection, so the adaptor is no more complicated than a gender changer. I just bought one for my Radeon 9800.

June 25, 2005 at 10:38 amThe x800 does have both an ADC and DVI connectors,
Note the Mac version of the board is different from the PC version that is commonly found at Comp Usa or Best Buy.
It does drive the 30 in Cinema Display and can accelerate GPU based applications such as Motion OR SiliconColor.gary adcock

June 25, 2005 at 8:18 pmIf you don’t need two 30″ CD’s it’s the way to go I think… fastest Mac card out there. https://www.barefeats.com reports it to be the fastest card. Plus, it doesn’t take up two slots like the rest, which would be in my case, mandatory.

June 27, 2005 at 1:58 pmI’m trying to run two older ADC displays off this card. I already have one ADC/DVI adaptor but I was hoping to avoid having to get another. Anyone running the X800 with and ADC monitor off the ADC connector? Is it receiving power/USB/signal as it’s supposed to?
Thanks in advance.
Best, JIM.

Yep, I have two ADC monitors running off the card. I have a 23″ Cinema Display using the ADC-DVI Adapter from Apple and I have my 17″ Studio display running straight into the ADC port on the card. USB ports operate correctly and the monitor gets powered up correctly as well.
The only thing that happens from time to time is the power light will stay on the 17″ display even when I power down. Doesn’t happen all the time, but it does happen occassionaly.
