Does Prelude -> AME = Batch transcode and Speech transcription?
Posted by Alex Udell on April 13, 2012 at 1:52 pmHi….
If you’re out there Todd K,
I’m curious if the new Prelude workflow will allow
Batch transcoding and simultaneously speech analysis for jump starting metadata post editing?

April 13, 2012 at 4:30 pmLet me check with my Prelude counterparts, but I think that the answer is “no”.
Stay tuned, and I’ll get someone with more Prelude knowledge to give you a better answer.

April 13, 2012 at 4:52 pmHere’s what one of my colleagues on the Prelude team said:
“Prelude CS6 will allow for batch encoding – you can create multiple destinations by clicking on the Add Destination button in the Ingest bialog box’s Transfer Options pane. Each destination can have its own Transcode settings, and when you hit the INGEST button all of these requests get sent into Adobe Media Encoder and batched. But you are correct that Prelude does not provide the Speech Transcription on ingest.”
We are looking into adding such operations on ingest in a future version, so definitely keep those feature requests coming.
