  Does MP2 really look that bad?

  Using Compressor from FCP and optimizing bitrate, my HD footage looks horrible in SD especially when there is motion in the shot. Of caorse all this compression is magnified when viewd on a 42″ LCD using HDMI cabling. I’m confused because this HD footage looks worse than other SD footage that I’ve compressed.
