    Does JVC GY-HM710 support 720 x 1280?

    Hi,
    I’ve got 2 older (3 yrs) GY-HM700’s and use them to shoot mostly at HD 720 x 1280. I’m looking to add a 3rd camera and the JVC GY-HM710 appears to be the next edition of the 700, but the specs appear to NOT include HD at 720?? (just 1080 and SD?) Is that just an omission in the specs?? If it’s true, is there a way to modify the OS to include 720?

    Anthony,

    You probably know now that the GY-HM710 was designed to record 1080i and SD. To answer your question regarding the possibility to add 720p recording to the GY-HM710, no, this is not possible.
