  • Does Io have conflicts with M-Audio soundcards?

Posted by Beelaster on May 27, 2005 at 4:04 am

I am the proud owner of a new Io (buh-bye Xpress Pro) and I was wondering as I build this system whether there are any known conflicts between the Io and any soundcards. The Avid Mojo can’t share a tower with anything.

I know I have to monitor audio in FCP from the Io. That’s a pretty simple setting change…

    Thanks!

You can also record audio along with video using the IO.

I know. What I was wondering is whether there are driver conflicts, hardware conflicts, etc.

I am trying to divide NLE and DAW duties in the same box.

The system I work on sometimes has the Io + Revolution 7.1. This is not a Delta 1010, but a M-Audio nonetheless.

it should be fine, however you must remember to use the Io’s audio output when monitoring in FCP. Otherwise audio will not be sync to the video. The M-Audio should work fine for voice over recording, tho.
