Does FCS need to be registered for 6.0.3 upgrade
Posted by Alan Lacey on May 6, 2008 at 9:37 amWhen current projects are completed I’ll load Leopard on my MBP(2.4 Intel) and register FCS. But in the meantime I’m running Tiger, FCS 602, IoHD etc etc on the MBP without problems and without registering the FCS.
Not that I particularly need it at present but I’m interested that software upgrade doesn’t give me the option for 603.
Anyone tell me why this is?
With thanks
Alan

May 6, 2008 at 9:51 amHi Alan.
In the Software Updates it doesn’t appear as FC6.0.3 but “Pro Applications Update 2008-1”.
Inside there is FC 6.0.3 and Compressor 3.0.3 updates.Mac OX 10.5.2-FC 6.02-QT 7.4.1
G5 2x2Gh 4GbRAM-BlackMagic Extreme
PMBP 17″Core2Duo 4GbRAM-AJA ioHD
JVC DTV-17″
SONY EX-1 . SONY PD170
..and always a big mess on top of the table. -

May 6, 2008 at 12:38 pmH might have the right version of QT, if he’s running 10.4.11. He didn’t say what he’s got.
All the best,

May 7, 2008 at 12:24 pmYes that’s what I mean Rafael, I do have the opportunity to ug QT and so presumably I’d need to do that before the ProApps update becomes available??
Thanks Alan
