Does fcp studio come with
shake as part of the whole software bundle? Just asking since I just notice the other day that 1 of the option was for me to send my timeline to shake. I looked in the applications folder and didn’t see it so I guess its a default setting?

You’re correct. It doesn’t come with it.
Last year Apple dropped the price on Shake and there was talk that they were going drop Shake soon. People thought that they were going to merge its functionality with one of the other Studio apps and just drop Shake.
I’m prety sure that was all rumor and that Apple hasn’t said one way or the other.
All we know for sure is that they’re still selling it as a stand-alone product at a much lower price than it used to be.

Actually, Apple dropped the price because the product is EOL and they were working on the replacement product, at the time called Phenomenon. No word at all about that product since the initial announcement so who knows if that is still happening.
