  • Does Canon 24p (vixia) and 24f (XH A1) play nice together?

Never once utilized the 24p on my Panny but I am curious if these 2 Canon formats edit well together or are they totally different formats?

    Thanks.

for the hv20, you’ll have to do a pulldown to 24p while the xha1 is 24p without a pulldown.

the xha1 saturates colors a bit more. make sure to check both images in a monitor.

I think the Vixia V30 has 1080i, 30p and 24p while the XH A1 has 24f. Not sure of the difference.

Does the XH A1 tend to saturate to where the image seems less sharp? I think one way to make an image appear sharper is to have it be more pale.

My Sony competitors videos (I own some older Sonys and the HD1000u) seem clearer yet less colorful.

    Thanks.

as far as sharpness, not at all. both are great under ideal conditions. the xha1 is a bit better under less ideal conditions.
