Does Avid always import audio levels exactly as they are?
Does Avid always preserve the values of audio levels exactly as they are?
I never had any problems when doing the final exports, but it would be nice to have a definite confirmation that when I import the audio file that was mixed correctly to broadcast standards in another software, it will remain exactly the same (in terms of audio levels) and still suitable for any TV station.
Is that the case or are there any important settings in Avid that need to be changed?

Yes, they come in at the level they were mixed, and are not raised or lowered. This is true of ALL imported audio.

There used to be an import setting that would drop the audio level of music..I think imported if cd ..by an amount you could specify.
Not sure if it is still kicking around anywhere.
But certainly for the sake of a typical workflow, it just brings it in

Beware that pannings are set correct, though (if you import as monophonic).
