    Hello all

I’ve created a project in Encore DVD that has 2 menus, a few buttons, and 3 imported dynamic link AE compositions. When I go to build the disc, it starts to transcode. About an hour later, I get an error msg telling me that there’s been an error parsing metadata, and to delete the file in the transcodes subdirectory of my project folder. What the heck is going on? Here’s what I’ve tried:

    Restarted Encore
    Rebooted the PC
Deleted Encore’s preferences file (let the app recreate it)
    Reinstalled Encore

Same thing still happens. Other problems I’ve noticed:

    1. Encore will not quit properly; I have to quit it, then manually end the task from task manager.

    2. Encore will not let me edit the project transcode settings; I get an error about a missing framework. Reinstalling does not fix the problem.

I am running on Windows Vista, and yes, I know that’s likely the root of all these problems. And yes, I’d like to go back to XP, but unfortunately I don’t have a license for it. So if there’s anything I can do to solve this problem, I’d like to do it. So, um, anybody have any thoughts?

It seems that reinstalling again did the trick. Ugh.

    You’re lucky.
