  Does a HP z820 NEED the full length extension bracket for a k5000?

  Hi
  Not sure of best forum to put this in.
  I recently bought a non HP Quadro k5000 for my z820.
  If you get it from hP it comes with an extender to secure it into the far end of the PCI housing.
  It seems many resellers are not mentioning this, so I wondered if anyone had used it without.
  I am not sure it is completely necessary, and I do not think it is available as a seperate purchase.

  this move to PC will be worth it in the end… won’t it?
