Do you need body paint for this.
Hi. I’d like to unwrap a model and paint up a texture map in Photoshop. Unfortunately, I do not own Body Paint. Is there any way to do this another way?

If you own Cinema 4D you have BodyPaint — at least since version 11 (10?). It’s been included in the base package for some time.

Really? Yes my version of C4D version 12 is licensed and registered. How do I launch it. In the Start Menu (I’m on a PC) only Cinema 4D shows up in the Maxon tab.

you don’t launch it, it’s built in. You just need to choose one of the BP layouts to get to the tools easily. The Help has a whole BP section.

Okay, thanks. Now I have to figure out how to use it. Does anyone know any killer learning resources? I guess I’ll start with the manual and the online help system.

Lynda.com has a decent 100 level C4D r12 course, which includes some basics of BodyPaint. For $25 a month US, Lynda is a pretty good resource. digital-tutors.com and CmiVFX.com also have some pretty good and fairly inexpensive tutorials.
