Do you know of any well-known movies/shows/games that utilize After Effects?
I’m presenting the importance of AE to a class, as well as inspire them to learn. They already know Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Do you know examples of projects that many people would recognize which utilize After Effects?

A lot of post houses use After Effects, especially for quick turn-around VFX (television), HUD design, and on-screen motion graphics. FX Guide published an article on some of the studios that contributed to the Avengers movies (a while back). A few of them used After Effects as their primary tool.

Not 100% sure but one of my faves is Scott Pilgrim vs the World.
I know that I got really into Cosa After Effects (yes that old) when I saw it used for face replacement in Jurassic Park.
AE is widely used in Mograph and VFX.
Read magazines like Cinefex (limited run now) and it would be mentioned in every issue for the last 20 plus years.
