    I know $49 isn’t gonna break the bank, but I have no reason to own a universal version of FCP…..well…except for the fact that I want 5.1.2!!!

    Yes. FCP 5.0.4 is end of the line for FCP 5.0. FCP 5.1 is required for FCP 5.1.2

    Bryan,

    You need to better understand the term “Universal” (don’t worry, you are not alone 😉 ). It doesn’t mean Intel-only. It means a program having code for both Intel and PPC based Macs.
