Do Not Transcode!
With the help of a friend, we have created a bat file that will create an mts file with a 40 mb constant bit rate. Normally, the highest Encore will do is 35 mb. But, we have only had success with interlaced AVHCD 50 and we can’t go any higher, 40 is the limit even though Bluray can handle a 50 mb bitrate. We export video from Premier Pro as full HD avi and the files are huge! Then, we run a command line via ffmpeg which creates an m2v file that passes the “Don’t Not Transcode” test. But, we have absolutely failed in our attempts to create a code to produce an H264 m4v video clip that will also meet the “Don’t Not Transcode” requirements. I’ll gladly share our code with anyone here, I’ll put it in the comments if there is interest for it. Has anyone else tried to do this?
