I’m not really a FCP guy and we’re having some confusion here on which card we need for our purposes.

We capture all our video with the HVX and 99% of our work ends up as .flv files. So assuming that we won’t be capturing from or outputting to HD tape from FCP, do we need to invest in the Kona 3 (as opposed to the IO card that came with the system)?

I’m a little confused on the advantages of the Kona card, so if there’s a site that covers this in detail please post the link. Thanks all!

    Whitlock,

AJA’s site has all the info you need. From there you can match the features to your needs. They have several different products to check out.

    Have a wonderful day.
