do clip changes transfer to sequence?
If I make a change to a source clip (change the name or add a marker) and part of that clip is in a sequence, shouldn’t the sequence data update and reflect those changes?

Clip name change…yes. Marker adding, no.

Thanks Shane. Is there something I need to do to induce the change (close and reopen the project) or should it be automatic? It isn’t happening over here–FCP 7

Should just work. I just did it and it worked.
Trash preferences. That might kick start it.

ahhhh, the sequence has to be in the same project. We have a project just for our sequences. Thanks Shane.
