DNxHD a bit choppy on Mac
Love DNxHD codecs. I’m on a big new Mac Pro. When I play 1080p DNxHD in Quicktime, it’s a bit choppy. Millions of colors, running at about 177 mbits. When I play ProRes 1080p, trillions of colors running at 300+ mbits, no choppiness. This just Quicktime not playing nice? thanks

Yes, it’s just QuickTime not playing nice. Doing this in QuickTime X or QuickTime 7?

I don’t know about smooth – but yeah works. Smooth is processor based.
