  DNW A75 Reel trouble 03

  Just wondering if anyone has come across this before. I have a DNW A75 that is having tape tension issues but I am not sure why. I have replaced the pinch roller, swapped both reel motor assys with a known good deck, cleaned the tape path and run the checks for the tape path. All seems well but, when you play or record, after 10 seconds or so, the tape will start to slack around the drum and then it gives you the dreaded “Reel Trouble 03” error and goes into protect mode.

  Any ideas?
