Lets not give the OP a bunch of BS…LTO is the most reliable, cost effective Back Up solution there is right now.

DLT is still the most reliable way to deliver DDP images to a replicator. A DVD-R should NEVER be used in a submission. I hate to give Trai Forrester credit since he been banned from the Cow but he’s nailed it with this article.

Just using external hard drives now. Or for DVD replication a master disc.

Careful, you need to spin up all of your drives at least once to twice a year. If you don’t the magnetics will fade and turn your hard drives to bricks.
