  DL HD Ext 3D & old PAL VHS tapes

  Hi, I would like to know which produces the best VHS capture quality:
  capturing PAL VHS tapes as component, uncompressed (10 bit) with BM’s input cables, using Media Express, then edit & render the uncompressed captured files with Prem Pro CS 5.5,
  or,
  run VHS from a player as S-VHS thru a Digital camera on the fly, to digitise it, (& get timecode) then captured into Prem Pro via firewire ?

  I tried the first method, had some signal drop out, (capture screen green), & with the good parts, got a poor result after edit & export, (which may have been my export settings). I would think component uncomp would be better, but not sure?
  Does Media Express’s uncompressed capture re-do new timecode ?
