    Hi.

I’ve come to go for the standalone Extreme solution, as I have a PCI-X G5.

Anyone happy with the card or have used it as standalone successfully.

I can see from the posts that there are problems, which I expect from a new device, but are there any success stories?

I’d love to hear some before i part with someone elses dough… -;)

Not sure what you mean by ‘standalone’. Do you mean the multibridge or something?

I run a Decklink Extreme PCI-X daily for broadcast and film work. No problems whatsoever.

[Nic Alderton] “Do you mean the multibridge or something?”

    Sorry. My bad!

Yes, I’m thinking of the Multibridge Extreme.

I’ve been adviced to run the MB E with a Decklink HD card out of the mac as a workaround for not having PCIe in my current system, but most likely in my next.

From what I see from posts here, windows users are having serious issues with the MB extreme, I just wondered about mac/FCP users experience.

Usually people come here with their woes, I’d love to hear some success before spending the $$$ -;)
