    Hi.

    I’m considering geting the Extreem.

I also wonder if it will be good idea to use SPDIF and Apogee DA converter to
output stuff to my Beta SP.

In materials SPDIF audio out is considered as homeusers connection.

Or do I need to use converter at all …. I do not have experience with
DL. At the moment I use card which is really poor with audio.

Source audio I put to tape is 48 khz and 24 bit.

the Decklink Extreme has analog audio outputs, that are balanced, and will feed your professional VTR’s. They are excellent quality, and you have to purchase nothing but the Decklink Extreme.

    Hi Margus,

The DeckLink Extreme has component analog video connections and XLR analog audio connections for use with your Betacam SP. You will not need to purchase anything else to make this work. The SDI connections can be used with a Digibeta or other SDI deck. The SPDIF output is designed for digital audio monitoring and would not usually be used with a deck.
