    Hey folks,

I’m new to this forum… usually stick to the FCP forum.

I’ve just installed Win XP Pro on my Mac Pro via Bootcamp, and I’ve installed the DeckLink drive 6.4 for XP, but haven’t been able to get anything but the built-in audio driver bootcamp installed to show up in the audio devices list. Under the Mac OS, my decklink handles all audio output for the system, and since that’s what my external speakers are hooked to I’d like it to do the same under Windows.

Thanks in advance for any insights.

Well…maybe a clarification. Our device can be used as an output for any ASIO compliant app. But we do not have ASIO input at this time. So it will be unable to capture from anything other than our applications, DS integrated applications or plugin type apps (Premiere).

But for output, this should totally be doable. It is possible that the audio driver didn’t get installed. If you can check the device manager you should see Decklink Audio (under sound video and game controllers). Make sure that doesn’t have any sort of exclamation/question mark.

Once it is all installed up, then the Decklink Audio should show up in the windows control panel.

    Hey Joshua,

I’ll check again the next time I boot into Windows, but I’m pretty sure the driver was listed sans !.

I read somewhere that people had trouble with DeckLink cards being in the audio devices list with QT 7 installed on the PC. Is that an issue?

We’re only using Windows for Blu-ray authoring and Mac OS for all of the other wortk, so audio isn’t some important as long as we know it’s there. It would just be nice to use the monitors instead of the built-in speaker.

    Thanks,
    Zak
