DJI Osmo full of compression artifacts – failed Netflix qc
I knew it was too good to be true…
DJI Osmo scenics footage failed Netflix qc.
Looking carefully at the raw capture, I see plenty of color banding and dithering when
there is shot of tree and shade while the car is moving. Argh. Not sure if any others experienced
this with their Osmo, but this cam is not suitable for high end production work.Looks like have to shell out $3.5K for their X5R raw version and there should not be any compression artifacts, especially dithering.

I’ve worked with Osmo footage and noticed a fair amount of unacceptable artifacting as well.
