I’ve got a student who would like to film himself diving out of a window as an explosion happens behind him. What would be the best way to shoot this?

    1) Green screen shot of the kid diving, composited into the shot of the window and an explosion?

    2) Regular shot of the kid diving out of the actual window and then compositing the explosion behind him?

    3) Something else?

    Thanks for any help!

I’d need to see the storyboards.

    Dave,

The camera would be outside the house, looking at the window. The student would start inside the house and then come diving out of the window towards the camera, and the explosion would happen behind him (I think it would be coming from inside the house and then blowing out through the window).

Given that info, what route would you take?
