Dithering in imported videos?
When I import a video to time-remap, it becomes really pixellated, like this:

The top is a screenshot from After Effects and the bottom is a screenshot from the actual video used.
Has anyone else ever seen anything else like this before?

i assume that this is what it looks like in ae preview window and not after rendering fro ae…
it looks like a interlace issue… either the footage is interlaced and ae is not deinterlacing or the footage is progressive and ae in trying to deinterlace… from the looks i think it is the later.
select the footage in the project window, then choose file>interpret footage>main… now check the separate fields pulldown… if it is set to upper or lower, set it to off. if it is set to off, try setting to upper or lower.
