Every time a i use “dither dissolve” between two shots in the same manner i use a regular dissolve, the outgoing shot never smoothly dissolves away. Instead at the end of the dissolve, it cuts out, though it looks like it should’ve lasted a few more frames. The incoming shot dissolves in smoothly, but the outgoing never goes out smoothly. And, yes, i’ve made sure there is enough video material in the outgoing shot to actually dissolve away. My workaround has been to put them on two different layers. Dither dissolve out the first shot, while the shot underneath it is dither dissolving in. It works, not cuts, but seems odd that the regular (faster) way wouldn’t work between the two clips. Any ideas?

    Thanks again!
