May 20, 2010 at 12:27 amHello Noah… I realized you were joking…. Thanks for what you do for those of us less enlightened… I appreciate all of the people who share their knowledge and experience so freely. I just didn’t want Wayne to take it wrong…
Take care

May 20, 2010 at 6:59 amHi Guys
Thanks. I’ve read all the posts – no offence.
We normally shoot in HDV and output to SD DVD.
Bought the EX1 as an extra cam and entry level into HD for the future. It seems the BPAV folders may cause some problems for those not prepared for them. The Quicktime H.264 format suggestion or ProRes may be the best I can offer them as HD or if that’s not good enough for them I’ll refer to a outside service provider.
Thanks for the advice / tips and for a great site.
Regards

May 21, 2010 at 2:24 pmWe provide video clips like this to our clients all the time using the m-jpeg codec. It’s great for Mac or PC platforms. We recommend transcoding to an intermediate codec like ProRes after receiving the file for editing. This workflow has been very successful.

May 21, 2010 at 2:47 pmCorrection. We use the Photo-JPEG codec for distribution (NOT m-jpeg as I earlier mentioned).
I apologize for the oversight.
