distortion map?
On Sony Vegas theres a distortion map effect. I was just wondering if there’s an alternative like it in Final Cut or even Motion? i want the screen to glitch or distort. I really love the effect and it’s be amazing to some how re create it in FCP.

There is a Bump Map effect in Motion 5 which you can use to make a preset for FCP X. If you’re using FCP 7 or earlier then I don’t know. I only use FCP X and I created my own Title Displacement Generator using the Bump Map in Motion to simulate what I use to do I Vegas Pro.
