I need to distort an interview subject’s voice to protect their anonymity. I’ve pixelatied their face in After Effects, no I’d like to do the distorted audio– an effect we’ve all seen dozens of times. Any suggestions from you audio gurus on a quick easy way to do this.

BTW I’m using Premier 6.5 and have access to Canopus audio filters as well as Direct X audio filters.

I don’t know about distorting the voice, but most of the voice alterations I’ve heard use pitch shifting, which is one of the effects in Ppro 1.5

Pitch shifting is a must. You might also play with a low-pass filter to cut off the higher freqencies in the voice. And since you don’t have to worry about lip-sync in this case, you can also play with pacing modifications.
