  • Distorted audio when burnt on BD

I’ve made a dozen 2 to 3 hour films of family trips abroad. First on DVD then Blu Ray. All on Premiere Pro. From CS3 to CC2018. All with Voice Over. The Voice Over is done on Audition with the ENDN formula (please see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6x__NthInRs ) Equalize, Normalize (98.5), Compress, Normalize (98.5). The last film I did sounds great on a computer with or without headphones. But when I play the BD on a TV the sound is very loud and quite distorted, especially the Voice Over. I encoded a version with gain lowered by -5. Result – same thing, only quieter. Rendered another, minus 10 Audio Gain this time. Quieter, but when you turn up the TV volume so you can hear what’s going on, it’s distorted again. I am not sure if “distorted” is the correct word in English, it sounds like when you’ve recorded something with peaks high in the red.
I tried the project’s sound on several different computers. All sounds good off the computers. And what is important!!! all sounds like it did on previous projects I made. It is only the DVD and BD (I tried both) that sound horrible. Like I said, I’ve made many films and never had this problem before.

I have to stress on the fact that I don’t hear any problems before I burn the BD. So I don’t know hwat to correct, let alone how to correct it. Can somebody advise what to do to the audio? Simple terms please, I am not good with audio at all.

    Thank you!
