  • displaying timecode for real-time dvd burning

I can burn dvds of raw footage in real time for clients who want to review it for future editing, by just playing the camera while recording on a real-time burner, but is there a way to do this and display the timecode in such a way that the burner recognizes it and records it? I can’t see anything in the camera’s menus about how to do this..

    Hi,
Thanks for yur help… Could you tell me where on the menus? In the display menu it wasn’t clear and when I tried what I thought was that option, while I could see the display on the lcd screen it didn’t show up on the dvd..

    Christopher,

It’s is in the display menu, it would help if you had a monitor hooked up to the camera. Then you can capture even material that has no visible timecode and it will be there, provided you capture from the camera in VTR mode. I do this all the time when dubbing to VHS for clients who want to pick selects.

    Have a wonderful day.

    Display set-up>
    Video OUT OSD>
    OFF ON

    Switch it to on.

FYI it is on page 40 of your manual if you have one.

Page 48 tells you what it does.
