  • Displaying burnt in timecode on source clip in EDL

Posted by Helen Browning on September 18, 2024 at 1:50 pm

    Hello,

I’m working on a project with lots of archive, and when outputting the edl,the source timecode displays the in point and out points of the source clip which is different to the burnt in timecode provided on the clip. The burnt in timecode is the useful bit in terms of ordering the high res copies of the archive.

Is there any way to set the source timecode to the burnt in timecode displayed on the archive? I wouldn’t want to do this manually though as there are tonnes of clips.

    many thanks for any advice!
    best wishes, Helen
