I would to display the timecode from the timeline (not the captured video) on an edited clip. Example, a 10 minute, 10 second, 10 frame saved .veg clip would start at 00:00;00 and end at 10:10;10 but I want the timecode to appear on the saved track when it is played. I would render it as an .mpg and send to a client who wants to do voice-over. What I’m trying to achieve is a video the client can watch and use the timecodes that appear on the video to decided where the voice-over’s should be. The client then sends me back a list of the timecode in and out points so I can add a new audio track and add the voice-over’s. The final saved version would not include the visable timecodes.
    Is this achievable?

Put the timecode F/X on its own track. When done, delete or mute the timecode track.

    Perfect; and simple too.
I did have to make an addition. When I added the new video track and moved it to the top (became trk 1) I had to add something to the track otherwise the timecode f/x was not visible. So I added the “Default Text” Media Generator (created a transparent background)and then cleared all the text.
    Thanks for your help.

[Brad White] “I had to add something to the track otherwise the timecode f/x was not visible”

    Use “Empty Event”.

Please note that your method is the timeline timecode. Move the event and the timecode changes.

If you add the timecode F/X to the media in Project Media, then you get the recorded timecode and moving the events on the timeline changes nothing. When you want to remove the timecode, just delete the F/X.

Drop the timecode FX on the Preview window and you’re done.
