    Hi,

Right now I am trying to understand the relationship between the ‘display LUT’ and the ‘output LUT’

If I use the ‘ARRI Log C to to Rec709 LUT’ on one of them its fine, but using them both gives me a double LUT interpetation on my SDI monitor.

I I refer to the manual it says the output LUT is for delivery, but why do I see that LUT influences my screen image??

The Display LUT will apply itself to the image but will not bake itself into the image when you render, the Output LUT also applies itself to the image but will bake itself into the image when rendered. They both need to be visible while grading hence the double LUT effect when you use both at the same time, if you are delivering for a film out which involves Lab processing then you use the Display LUT only and the Lab will take care of the rest, if you are delivering video then use the Output LUT only and all will be fine.

    Martin.
