Is it possible to have a 23.98 timeline and display 29.97 DF timecode in the imecode Window in FCP? I’m editing a show in 23.98 and I want to know the lenght in 29.97 DF.

You need a timecode calculator. Haven’t seen a good one for a while.

Yup, gotta use a timecode calculator…and plan ahead. Know what your 29.97 DF delivery must be, and calculate it for NDF so you know what you need to do to get it to the proper timing.

Thanks Mr. Ross. The answer to my problem lies in a sky blue widget. Is this the right time and place to say: “Well…Avid those that so easily!”

Thanks again and I hope to see you in a dance off at the AJA party in 2011.

You saw me dancing? Sorry about that. I was there to impress the gals from Avid…

Yep, I saw the whole thing but don’t worry, my therapist says that I’m recovering
